WHO IS JEROEN KROUWELS?
Jeroen Krouwels (1964) graduated as an educationalist in the late 1980s, specialising in modern foreign languages. A career as a language teacher was an obvious choice, but things turned out differently. He developed from a complete digital illiterate to an ICT teacher and became co-owner at an ICT Training Institute, where he joined the management board at 33. He changed the company from a classroom training institute to an EdTech company when he saw in the late 1990s that computers were starting to explain themselves at the dawn of the e-learning era. Over the past 10 years he has been involved in several start-ups and advises organisations in education and L&D on the applications of AI.
Digital transformation
Aan den lijve heeft hij ondervonden wat digitale transformatie betekent en hoe je er leiding aan geeft, maar ook wat de ontwikkeling van technologie betekent voor wat, waar, wanneer en hoe we leren. En als geen ander weet hij uit eigen ervaring welke worsteling nieuwe technologie kan veroorzaken bij docenten en trainers. Al meer dan 15 jaar is hij als gast-docent betrokken bij de post-bachelor E-learning bij de Foundation for Corporate Education (Kessels & Smit) en bij diverse cursusprogramma’s van o.a. SBO-Euroforum. Vanuit zijn eigen bedrijf Krouwels Management BV helpt hij organisaties met innovaties op het raakvlak van leren en technologie (EdTech) en verzorgt hij lezingen en workshops over AI. Hij is mede-oprichter van xXenta.com, een toonaangevend EdTech bedrijf, gespecialiseerd in A.I. voor leren en performance. Daarnaast maakt Jeroen de podcast ‘Mens en technologie’ samen met futurist Randall van Poelvoorde, over de impact van technologie op mens en maatschappij.
